Beginning the New Year - Devotional

Think: Coming upon the new year, it's easy to set these general goals for ourselves in hopes that maybe THIS IS THE YEAR we will accomplish them. However, diligence is key! The more specific we are, the more effective we can be. Asking the Lord for guidance in our goal setting is key too. We want our goals to be God honoring and leading us towards being fruitful kingdom minded warriors!

Ask: This year, what will I give my best YES to, and what will I give my NO to? Determining this will help us steward our time well. If God honors diligence, then how will I learn from my past failures and set myself up to achieve these goals? Lastly, are my goals honoring to Christ and effective for His kingdom?

Pray: Father, what are you calling my focus to this year? How can I be most effective for your kingdom in my day to day living? Show me what these should be, and give me the strength to be diligent! Not in my own might, but Yours. Amen.
