Drop the Bags - Devotional

Read This:

"Then Jesus said, 'Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.'" Matthew 11:28-29

Think: God never promised us that there would be NO yoke or NO burdens, but that we can trade ours for His. Jesus says that His yoke is easy and His burdens light. This has layers of meaning and applies to not only salvation, but to the christian life. By trusting our Savior with our burdens, we are putting them in the hands of the One who knows how to handle them the best!

Ask: What burden are you carrying that you should trust the Lord with?

Pray: Lord Jesus, I don't want to carry the weight of my burdens alone. Help me to entrust all to you and grow my faith by putting my burdens in your hands. Thank you for loving me Lord. Amen
