Think:
While we're a few days past Labor Day, it's still a good time to reflect on Christ's example. God calls us to labor AND He calls us to love. Christ’s ministry on earth was a powerful example of this. From healing the sick, teaching the masses, to bearing the ultimate weight of our sins on the cross, His life was one of constant, sacrificial service. Every act He performed was rooted in love—His deep, selfless love for humanity. In His love, He gave everything, even to the point of laying down His life so that we might have life. This sacrificial labor wasn’t out of obligation but out of a heart filled with grace and compassion for a broken world. Through His work, we are reminded that love is an active force—something that involves sacrifice, effort, and dedication.
Ask:
How am I actively choosing to labor in love for those around me, as Christ did for me?
Pray:
Father, thank you for going before us so that we have the perfect example to follow. Show me today how to better love others, even if it takes sacrifice and effort. Help me look more like you. Amen
