Life can be a struggle. It seems like we’re getting pulled in two different directions at the same time. Have you ever felt like life was a game of tug of war? Things are going great, but then bam...you lose your footing and it feels easy to slip into your old ways. Remember though, our God is a God of second, third, fourth, fifth chances...He wants to see you succeed and He’s on your side cheering for you.

It’s a struggle to make the right decisions sometimes. We can feel like there’s no way to change the tapes that we play in our mind, but God wants to help us. There’s a different way. We can feel those tugs and as soon as we do we can remember the scriptures and let them wash over us: For I know what I have planned for you,’ says the Lord. ‘I have plans to prosper you, not to harm you. I have plans to give you a future filled with hope. Jeremiah 29:11

What are some practical things that you can do to walk down the road of life and make wise decisions?

1. Well, a great start is to read the Bible daily. Psalm 119:105
2. Surround yourself with people and friends who will help you. Proverbs 13:20
3. Get connected at your church and serve others. James 2:14-26

No actors are needed for this. You’ll need access to video monitors and an ability to play a downloaded video. Also, an understanding of volume control is great too, but it’s not mandatory.

This video would give a powerful and emotional start to your service and it meshes well with any sermon dealing with themes like struggle, pain, loss, death, seeking, fathers or intentionality.
