True Freedom - Devotional

Read This: “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." 2 Corinthians 3:17

Think: Freedom in Christ is the greatest gift ever given to mankind. Not only do we have free will to determine who we will serve, but we also have freedom from the bondage of this world. We don't have to live afraid. So many people, even believers, live their lives constantly worrying if they made the right choice or if they chose the wrong path or if their future will play out as they planned. But there is freedom and grace in the work that Jesus did on the cross! Stop fretting and thank God today for sending His son. We can wake up in the morning, surrender our day to the Lord, then ask that His Spirit will guide you through every step. And guess what, HE WILL! There is grace for today.

Ask: Do I choose to walk in the freedom of Christ day to day, or do I constantly let myself worry that what He did on the cross wasn't enough?

Pray: Father, thank you for suffering to the greatest extent so that we can walk in your freedom. Thank you for defeating death and sending your Spirit so we can know your voice. Help me to cast my cares on you as I learn to walk, talk, and think more like you. For where your Spirit is, I know there is freedom. Amen
