Christian Scripts and Church Dramas

The Skit Guys have been busy writing and collecting scripts for over 10 years. We have a wide range of church dramas and skits that can be performed for almost any occasion. Our Christian scripts are biblically based and can be used not only in churches, but most school drama competitions as well.

A teenage girl is making a YouTube video about getting ready for Christmas and is eventually joined by her brother and Mom. Her mom's input doesn't really fit with the theme of the girl's video, though it does point to a more biblical idea of preparing for Christmas.

Timmy is feeling down because kids at school are making fun of him for not having any Instagram followers. This opens the door for Timmy and his mom to have a meaningful conversation about true friendship and the importance of doing what’s right before God, rather than what’s popular. Part of the Train Up A Child series, it’s a funny and touching skit to help believers of all ages know and remember what they believe.

Janet is surprised to find her son sitting at the kitchen doing long division on the weekend instead of playing outside with friends. She discovers that he’s trying to calculate how many years make up 1,000 generations as he tries to wrap his head around the enormous promise of God’s love and faithfulness for His children.

In this interactive monologue, kids will be excited to hear Noah tell of his epic voyage. The audience participates with various responses and by creating a rain simulation.

It’s the night of the long-awaited Christmas pageant! This time with a “more Biblicallyaccurate” rendition of the Magi’s arrival. But suddenly, the wise men’s gifts have disappeared and have been replaced with chaos and confusion. Will the cast find the gifts or maybe something of more value to present to the baby King? This entertaining, full-length Christmas play will work as your church's Christmas pageant or for a dinner theater.

Timmy is disappointed after the church Christmas production because his mom, who played Mary, gave away a gift (that he hoped to receive) to a new kid in the audience. Part of the Train Up A Child series, this is a funny and touching skit to help people of all ages remember the true meaning of Christmas and to be thankful in giving.

Having just met Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus at the temple, Anna and Simeon describe what it was like to hold the King of the world in their hands. They reflect on how Jesus is God’s promised Messiah for Jew and Gentile alike.

Mary and Elizabeth share their concerns about becoming new mothers, and Elizabeth reminds Mary of God’s sufficient grace.

This full-length musical features Captain Biddigan and his motley crew of pirates on the Mediterranean Sea. When they meet two shipwrecked fishermen with tales of a man named Jesus, Biddigan begins a new treasure hunt to find the truth about this mysterious man.

What begins as a person's lament about being tired and sore from walking, turns into a series of prayers to God, asking Him to breathe new life, quench thirst, and perform miracles in the world.

As six women are decorating the church for Christmas, they decide to share stories of when they experienced God with them. Two lighthearted stories give way to a deep and meaningful story of God's presence during a time of grief.

Too often Christmas is stolen from our lives without us even recognizing that it’s gone. This play highlights 8 distractions that can take our focus away from the true meaning of Christmas and cause us to miss the joy of the season. Perform the scenes individually as illustrations for a sermon series or as a full play. Each scene is 2-5 minutes in length for a total time of 40–45 minutes.

A little boy is searching for the best gift for Christmas. He shakes various gifts along his journey to see if he can tell what is inside, and each gift accompanies him as he seeks the one true Gift that he needs.

In this monologue, Mary recounts how she was afraid of the dark, until the angel appeared before her, announcing the coming Messiah. After Jesus was born, with the Light of the World in her arms, she had no reason to fear anymore.

Sarah is afraid that no one will remember her at Christmas, so she secretly buys all the raffle tickets for the Ladies’ Guild quilt. When she wins, she must choose between fleeting happiness or lasting joy.

This Readers Theater highlights how we can serve Jesus by caring for others. As a gift to our Savior, we can make sacrifices to meet the needs of those Jesus calls us to serve.
